The Intellectual Property Awareness Network (IPAN) was first set up in 1993 so next year it will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. Dr Janet Burgess, IPAN’s Membership Officer, has taken on the task of compiling a record of its history and achievements through the decades as it developed from a relatively informal group committed to raising awareness of intellectual property and its importance, to the formally constituted network which it is today.
Can you help? Janet would very much like to hear from people who were involved with IPAN and instrumental in its development, particularly in the early years when the Intellectual Property Awareness Group (as it was then) was in its infancy. Please do get in touch, initially by email to msec@ipaware.org, if you were there at the start and can pass on your memories and memorabilia (minutes from pre-2003 meetings, event brochures, photos and similar are particularly welcome)!
